BB Announces New Editorial Board for The Second issue of Manthan

 This is to announce that BB formed a new team of editorial board for the next issue of Manthan which is scheduled to be released on Aug15, 2006.

Instructions to Authors

Manthan is a quarterly magazine published by BiharBrains. Articles are welcome for submission from all subject areas. Articles submitted for publication are first reviewed by the Editorial Board who has right to accept/ reject or edit the contents of article. Before submitting articles, authors are requested to carefully go through the following guidelines:
A. Articles must be submitted electronically through Email, hard copies are not accepted.
Send your articles to: info@biharbrains.org, mark the subject as `Article for Manthan'.
B. Submission of an article will be held to imply that it is not published before anywhere or not under consideration for publication elsewhere.
C. Articles should be original and contains significant information of the subject.
D. Preparation of articles:
1. Articles must be written and typed in English using Microsoft Word, double spaced,
on A4 page size with ample margins.
  1. All of the pages should be consecutively numbered starting with the title page.
  2. The recommended fonts used are Times New Roman or Arial, and the font size should be 11 point.
  3. Do not use non-English fonts (can use symbols like ì, â, á etc), otherwise the PDF files can not be reproduced perfectly.
  4. The total word count may not cross to 1500.
  5. The title page contains title of the article, full name of author/authors, their affiliation and addresses with phone, fax and email. Also include a list of abbreviations used in the text with their full form.
  6. The text may be divided into headings and sub-headings such as Introduction, Conclusions etc.
  7. Authors can include the acknowledgements and references, if applicable.
  8. References must be numbered consecutively in the order that they are appeared in the text and designated by a superscript.
  9. A list of references should be included at the end of the text.
  10. Prepare tables, figures, graphs, charts, images, line diagrams, illustrations etc on separate pages.
  11. Number tables and figures; put a legend on top of the table. Legends to the figures may be presented on separate page.
  12. Presentation of figures in JPEG format is recommended with appropriate resolution that can be subjected to reduction or enlargement, if required.
  13. Remember that all the text, tables and figures should be in editable format so that it can be adjusted to the format of magazine.

Abroad: USD 5 for BB members and USD 3 for non-members

Notification for the second issue of Magazine "Manthan"

Dear Friends,
As you know, we already released first issue of "Manthan" at Patna
in Feb14, 06 and also released e-version on June 12, 06 for the
subscription.
For the second issue of the magazine (scheduled to be released in
month of August,2006), we invite articles/papers from all the over the
world (Indian nationals /Foreigners) on the subject related to
 Science and Technology
 Humanities and social sciences
 Computer and IT world
 Developmental issues for Bihar
 case study related to development
 Health care
 Biotechnology & Bio chemistry
 Astronomy & Astrophysics.
 Youth section :
 Personality development
 Articles from various college students/scietechfest and
other student agencies
 Jobs/researches in India and abroad
 VISA Section

will be appreciated and will be given more weight age

 Letter to this effect will be sent to all colleges/PG dept of
University in Bihar. Best three articles from the students will be
awarded and those articles will be published in the E-Magazine.
 Articles in Hindi will be appreciated.
 This is to be noted that Manthan will be subscribed on the
standard subscription rates and all the articles which we are
inviting, are free of any charges. The articles are being invited
from all over the world and the writer will not be paid against
their articles. The amount we get from the magazine will be
fund generating agency for the "Development of the
BiharBrains scholastic Center" A MEGA Project of
BiharBrains (www.biharbrains.org) .

Bihar Brains Launches Its First E-Magazine"Manthan"
