DANAPUR: Two notorious criminals of Khagaul--Katorwa and Rajesh--were killed in an encounter with police on Tuesday night in Patna. The incident took place when the Danapur police challenged the duo on Bailey Road when they were going on a motorcycle.
They, however, managed to escape from there. But the police gave a hot chase to fleeing criminals who opened fire on the police. In return the police also opened fired killing both of them on the spot. The police have recovered country-made pistols and several live cartridges from their possession.
According to police, Katorwa was wanted in several cases of murder, extortion and loot. Another criminal killed in the encounter Rajesh, was a close relative of Katorwa, who too was wanted by the police.
