New Delhi: India may be facing various degrees of disease and devastation, but that has not deterred some MPs from showing their concern about the side effects of Viagra and Formula One motor racing.
Congress MP Kudeep Bishnoi, the son of former Haryana chief minister Bhajan Lal, wanted Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to answer whether the government had any plans to organise a Formula One race in one of the cities.
"If so, the details thereof, if not, the reasons," asked the written question listed under Bishnoi's name.
He also wanted to know whether the government had taken any steps for establishing a motor racing circuit and automobile testing facilities for the purpose.
The prime minister's office said the government had no such plans and did not organise any such events.
Then Alok Kumar Mehta, an MP from Bihar - one of the most underdeveloped states in India beset with myriad problems ranging from crime to illiteracy and poor governance - wanted to know whether the sex pill Viagra could cause blindness, as some reports had said.
