ART DIRECTOR:
RESPONSIBILITIES/ ROLE DESCRIPTION:
- Create visual graphical design, including typography, visual concept, composition, layout, color for websites and web applications.
- Print design.
- Participate directly in brain storming and design review meetings with clients.
- Integrate usefulness and usability insights throughout the design and development process.
- Facilitate the interpretation of strategies and research findings into design concepts.
- Participate in the design and production of visual comps, style guides, and other graphic design documentation.
- Work with account teams on new business development activities.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Bachelor in Fine Arts or Equivalent is essential.
- Candidates should have 2+ years of experience at an I! nternet Solutions firm or comparable environment. Should have designed at least 10 websites in a commercial setting.
- Advanced understanding of design principles such as color, typography, layout, and information design.
- Should have understanding of online branding and the ability to generate strong concepts based on brand and business strategies.
- Solid understanding of web production process, key roles and human computer interaction principles.
- Must have expert knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Macromedia Dream weaver. Working knowledge of Macromedia Flash is required.
- Experience with several of the following is required:
- Adobe Distiller/ Acrobat
- Adobe Illustrator
- Macromedia Director
- Power Point
- Quark Express
- Visio
8. Working knowledge of HTML, DHTML, Java Script, graphic formats, CSS, popular plug-ins and their authoring tools.
