Deogarh, Jharkhand, September 14: The police on Wednesday arrested a ticket examiner and a vendor and were looking out for three others, who allegedly raped a teenager in a running train, after recording the victim's statement and lodging an FIR.
The girl who was found in a semi-conscious condition on Tuesday in the Delhi-Howrah Toofan Express train said in her complaint that two Travelling Ticket Examiners (TTEs) and three had raped her, Government Reserve Police (GRP) sources said.
The FIR would be sent to Jhajha in Bihar for registration as the jurisdiction comes under that region since the girl had boarded the train from there, the sources said. The FIR could not be lodged on Tuesday as she was inconsistent in her statements due to her semi-conscious state.
