Sept. 18 (PTI): The Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist) has said that the emerging alliance of Left Parties in Bihar would be selective in admitting partners.
"The formation of third front has to be rooted in the struggles of Bihari people and that it was not a parking station for those caught in a traffic jam between BJP-JD(U) and RJD-Congress," party General Secretary Dipankar Bhattacharaya, said at a seminar on 'Bihar Elections: Challenges of Democracy and Social Transformation' here.
"The CPI (M-L) was hopeful that the emerging Left Alliance would extend beyond seat sharing and elections to forge a unity of people's struggle required for transforming Bihar." Bhattacharaya said that the Congess was not separate from RJD and that Lalu Prasad was a "guided missile" in the hands of the Congress which had ensured the denial of democracy and law to the people of Bihar.
He said that the experience of CPI (ML) indicated the acceptance of fighting Left Forces as a true alternative.
