Ranjit Don's petition rejected

PATNA: The court of CBI special judge, Jawahar Prasad Ratnesh, rejected the discharge petition of Dr Kumar Suman Singh alias Ranjit Don and three other accused of CBSE medical entrance test question leak case here on Friday.

The other three accused whose discharge petitions were rejected included Dr Arun Kumar Singh, Manoj Kumar and Rajiv Babu.

The court of the CBI special judge, Ram Nandan Sharma, on Friday rejected regular bail petition of section officer of Supaul division of the road construction department, Ramadhar Thakur, in two bitumen scam cases namely RC 32A/97 and RC 29A/97.

The same court also rejected the bail petition of a fertiliser dealer, Rajeshwar Singh, of Chhapra in the fertiliser scam case.

He had surrendered before the court in this case on Friday. The court sent him to judicial custody till September 27.
