CII to prepare to roadmap for Bihar
PATNA: The Confederation Of Indian Industry (CII) will prepare a roadmap for Bihar's overall economic and industrial growth, the first of its kind for development of the state.
"The CII was asked by the state government to prepare a detailed roadmap to identify areas of rapid growth by exploiting its available resources," Ravi Poddar, CII's eastern region chairperson, said here Wednesday.
Poddar said the roadmap would be ready within the next three to four months.
Bihar Governor Buta Singh had told a visiting CII team to prepare a report to identify issues for the state's development, he disclosed.
"There is good potential for setting up agro-industries and food processing units and also get into tourism and information technology," Poddar said.

However, the state lacked the required infrastructure and suffered from a poor law-and-order situation. With rapid economic growth, the state could improve on both counts, he said.
