CPM to oppose petrol price hike
PATNA: The CPM will take out protest rallies in all the district headquarters in protest against hike in petrol and diesel prices on September 9.

The party said that hike in diesel prices would affect farmer,s especially of drought-affected areas of the state.
The party has demanded roll back of hike in prices of petrol products. It has also demanded withdrawal of hike in custom and excise duty on petroleum products, withdrawal of the sales tax concession granted to the private oil refineries and suspension of 50 paise per litre road cess imposed on petroleum products.
CPI-ML workers on Wednesday burnt effigies of the UPA government and railway minister Lalu Prasad to protest hike in prices of petrol and diesel.
Party state secretary Ramjatan Sharma said that people would give a befitting reply by voting against the RJD-Congress combine in the coming assembly polls.
