Lathi blows mark Uma's arrival
PATNA: BJP leader Uma Bharati got a stormy welcome in Patna on Wednesday as a group of persons assembled under the banner of 'Rashtriya Chandravanshi Sangharshsheel Morcha' showed black flags to her at the railway station and later clashed with BJP workers.

The agitators were protesting against the reported remark of the BJP leader urging her partymen to tear apart Lalu's RJD in the same manner as King Jarasandh was torn apart in the mythological epic, Mahabharat.
Several BJP and Morcha workers received minor injuries as fisticuffs and lathi blows were exchanged between the rival groups.
Speaking to journalists later, Bharati alleged the protest was a handiwork of RJD supporters. "Showing a black flag is a democratic way of protest but indulging in violence is not," she said.
She said she has come to know that the protests were organised by RJD supporter Ram Bali Singh, known to be close to RJD chief Lalu Prasad.
"Laluji wants to engineer caste violence for electoral gains. But these things will not help him in the elections this time," she said.
