High-level team to review poll preparations

PATNA: The team headed by chief secretary G S Kang will be visiting all the divisional headquarters from September 14.

Besides Kang, home secretary H C Sirohi, director general of police A R Sinha, IG (police headquarters) Krishna Chaudhary and Special Branch ADG Abhayanand will be part of the team.

Soon after assuming the charge of home secretary, Sirohi told mediapersons that the team will start visiting divisional headquarters from September 14 to review the progress in execution of non-bailable warrants of arrest and issuing of photo-identity cards to voters.

The team will review the poll preparations being made in Magadh division on September 14, in Patna division on September 15, in Bhagalpur division on September 17, in Saran division on September 20 and in Darbhanga division on September 21.

In course of their visit to different divisions, the team members will hold talks with the divisional commissioners, regional IGs, DIGs, DMs and SPs concerned who have been directed to be present on the occasion.
