Several passengers were injured when an old foot overbridge being demolished at Bhagalpur railway station collapsed over a running train on Saturday morning.
14 of the rescued have been admitted to the district hospital. About ten people are still trapped in the coaches.
A portion of the over 100-year-old bridge collapsed on a bogey of Howrah-Jamalpur Superfast Express trapping several passengers inside.
A new bridge was recently constructed alongside the old one, which was being demolished over the last few days.
A pillar and portion of the bridge collapsed due to the vibration on the ground caused by the moving train, the sources said.
