Ambedkar's 51st Death Anniversary Observed

Governor R. S. Gavai, on Wednesday, paid tribute to Dr. B. R. Ambedkar at a function organized at the Governor's mansion to mark the 51st death anniversary of the man who is also known as father of the Indian Constitution.

Others who paid their respects to Dr. Ambedkar and garlanded his picture were Bihar Assembly chairperson Udai Narayan Chowdhary, Welfare Minister Rameshwar Paswan, and Patna University Vice Chancellor Y. C. Himadri.

At Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) headquarters in Patna, party senior leader Shyam Rajak presided over a function held to honor Dr. Ambedkar.

Rajak described Dr. Ambedkar as a visionary with immense concern for the underprivileged class of the society.

Meetings to honor the leader were also organized by the Human Rights and Welfare Organization, Nationalist Congress Party, Lok Janshakti Party (LJP), Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), state Youth Congress, and a number of other social outfits.
