PATNA: The state vigilance investigation bureau on Monday moved the court of special judge (vigilance), Patna, praying for proclamation and property attachment orders against RJD MP Sadhu Yadav in connection with the flood-relief scam case.
The vigilance bureau moved the court under Sections 82 (proclamation) and 83 (attachment of immovable assets) after the Patna High Court rejected Sadhu's anticipatory bail petition earlier in the day.
Once the court issues proclamation order, Sadhu would have to surrender before the court within the stipulated period, failing which his property would be attached.
The vigilance bureau has chargesheeted Sadhu in the case for allegedly receiving Rs six lakh from the alleged kingpin of the scam, Santosh Kumar Jha.
