Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today ordered a high-level probe into the incident where pro-quota protestors attacked on media and policemen, in which 35 persons, including some journalists, were injured.
Talking to reporters, Kumar said "I have asked the Director General of Police Ashish Ranjan Sinha to get the incident inquired into and submit a report to me soon".
Asserting that the state government was committed to ensure that rule of law prevailed, he said the DGP would go into why the mediamen were abused and attacked with stones, lathis and sticks and what the policemen were doing there.
He said it was also a matter of serious concern that the protestors attacked the security personnel.
