After Lalu toys and chocolates, Bihar has found a new way to remember the former chief minister and this time it's through a brand of fodder named after him.
Farmers insist that cattle chewing on Lalu fodder give milk that's much sweeter than before.
It is a very unlikely product for Union Railway Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav to be associated with, after being a main accused in the fodder scam but suppliers are just not complaining.
"In our discussions we realised that this name would take the product to its real customers," said Satish Kumar Singh, Manager, Prakash Agro Industries.
Farmers are convinced their cattle have begun giving them better milk for which they thank Lalu fodder.
"After cattle have eaten Lalu fodder, the quality of milk has improved," said Narendra Kumar, a shop owner.
HUGE DEMANDS
Meanwhile, suppliers are desperately trying to meet growing demands.
"The reaction to this brand has been very positive, demand is very high and supply can't seem to meet it," said Satish Kumar Singh.
Lalu Prasad Yadav has in the past year been associated with toys and chocolate ensuring people across Bihar remember him.
