Tests conducted on 34 samples by the State Joint Food and Drug Testing Laboratory revealed that four samples of the softdrinks had not maintained the standards as prescribed by the food adulteration wing of the Directorate General of Health Services. The test reports submitted to the office of the Joint Food Controller on Saturday stated that while one of the bottles of the soft drink contained foreign elements, the contents of the other two were polluted owing to the rusting of the caps.
