A day after the Congress in Bihar made a ruckus accusing the NDA government in Bihar of 'destroying the state' in its nine months of rule, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, on Thursday, informed the media that in a clear sign of better things to come, the industrial powerhouse Tata was interested in making investment in the state.
"I have received a letter from Ratan Tata expressing his interest in investing in Bihar. I have already sent him a reply saying Bihar would be more than happy to welcome him back," the Chief Minister said.
Kumar further said that his government was doing its absolute best to ensure the state was back on the track and on the road to development. "We have already cleared investment proposals to the tune of over Rs. 9,000 crore which is a record in itself," he said.
The Chief Minister's response came a day after Congress leaders in Patna 'indicted' the nine-month old NDA government by presenting charts of crime committed during the new regime.
The Congress has also accused the government of 'massive misappropriation' in government schemes involving crores of rupees.
