"We have put forth our three-point demands from the Central government," the Road Construction Minister said. "We want to know from the Home Minister what he is planning to do to crush the terrorists in Assam. We have demanded security for the Biharis living in Assam, and we want the Central government to explain what steps are being taken to rehabilitate the victims of ULFA terrorists in Assam," Yadav said.
"It is disheartening that there are elements in the nation that are hell-bent on dividing our country on regional and communal lines but the government is not doing anything to rout such forces," he said.
Yadav's sentiments were echoed by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar who said the Center was apathetic to the terrorism issue plaguing Assam and some other states.
"Three days after the massacre, the Union government is yet to make its stand clear on the extremists. State Home Minister also is keeping a tight lip over the entire tragedy that has affected so many families in Bihar. We want to know what the UPA government is planning to do so the incident is not repeated in future," the Chief Minister said.
