Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, on Tuesday, inaugurated a new computer network system that connects state's all land registration offices enabling the officials to pull out required information without having to wait for weeks as was the case just until yesterday.
"The new system will not only help the citizens obtain information quickly and allow the citizens to complete registration formalities in the fraction of time, it will also help maintain overall transparency in the administration," the Chief Minister said.
The entire registration process, with the new system, will take only about 40 minutes.
The registration office will no longer accept cash in registration fee and instead official stamp papers and direct deposit will be encouraged, officials said.
