Government Transfers Eight Senior IPS Officers, Promotes 10

Eight senior IPS officers have been transferred and ten others promoted by the state governm. The transfer order came on Friday evening. Two of them were promoted to the DG rank while seven to the rank of the additional director general.

Manoje Nath, additional director general-cum-Civil Defence Commissioner, Anand Shankar, ADG, Bihar Police Construction Corporation were promoted to the rank of director general in the same departments.

The DG Bihar State Sports Authority, Shiv Chandra Jha, has been made DG-cum-Commandant General of the Home Guards and Fire Service. This post was being held by the present director general of police, Ashish Ranjan Sinha, ever since the suspension of Narayan Mishra.

The Inspector General (Vigilance), Bihar State Electricity Board, R C Sinha, has been made DG, Bihar State Sports Authority.

Anil Kumar Sinha, the IG Headquarters, is now ADG (Law and Order). Krishna Chaudhary, IG (Muzaffarpur) has been promoted to the rank of ADG. The post of IG (Muzaffarpur) has been kept vacant.

R L Kanujia, the Inspector General of Darbhanga Zone is the new ADG (Vigilance) Bihar State Electricity Board. Similarly, A K Gupta, IG Weaker Section, CID, has been promoted to the rank of ADG in the same department. The IG (Training) C Lima Imchen is now ADG (Training). R R Verma, IG, Homeguards and Fire Service, has been promoted to the rank of ADG in the same department.

IG (Technical Services) Ravindra Kumar, has been made IG Headqurrters (Legal And Administrative Matters). Ganesh Prasad Yadav, IG-cum-Chief Vigilance Officer, Bihar State Co-operative Bank, has been made Zonal IG of Darbhanga while A C Verma, I G Law and Order has been sent to the Technical Services and Communications department in the same department.

Arvind Pandey, DIG State Crime Record Bureau exchanges his post with DIG of Tirhut Range, Gupteshwar Pandey. Raghunath Prasad Singh, DIG Rail has been shifted to Bhagalpur as its new DIG in place of Girjanand Sharma, who has been made IG (CID).
