Not only is the quality of vegetables produced in Bihar better than rest of the country, the soil too is very suitable for its growth. Thus there is enough scope of vegetables and other agriculture products to be exported from here to other countries.
The above revelations were made by a recent survey conducted by the Planning Commission. The survey said that Bihar can easily fulfil the demand of many small countries.
According to the study conducted by the Techno-Economic Research Institute at the initiative of the Planning Commission the soil of the state is very suitable for horticulture and agriculute, besides there is enormous scope of the growth of honey. It needs to be mentioned that Bihar is already a leading producer of honey, while it ranks among the top five in the production of vegetables and fruits. It is expected that Bihar has the capability of compensating for the fall in the agricultural output in states like Punjab and Haryana.
