PATNA: A US-based non-resident Indian (NRI), Naveen Kumar Sharma, is setting up the country's first multimedia museum at Nalanda, the ancient site of Buddhist learning, in Bihar.
Prachin Bharat Tourism, a Bangalore-based company, run by Sharma, is setting up the museum at a cost of Rs.100 million. The museum is scheduled to open Jan 26, 2008.
This is probably the first formal investment by an NRI in Bihar in the last two years. The Bihar government has been trying to attract foreign investment in agriculture, health, IT and tourism.
