The entire Opposition in Bihar boycotted the state assembly session on Tuesday and declared to continue with it indefinitely, demanding unconditional withdrawal of a censure motion taken against them in the House on Monday.
The Assembly witnessed ugly scenes on Monday when Opposition party members trooped in the well of the House, stood on the reporters table and called the Speaker Uday Narayan Chowdhury a "sticker". The agitated members demanded the arrest of persons named in an FIR lodged in connection with an attack on the farm house of RJD MLA Kunti Devi.
The House was adjourned twice and the government moved a censure motion against Opposition members for indecent behaviour. The Speaker's attempt to resolve the deadlock failed as both sides stuck to their stand.
