Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar Sushil Modi came under the scanner of the state election commission for alleged violation of the code of conduct during the Patna Municipal Corporation (PMC) poll held here today.
Modi was said to have entered the 200-metre prohibitory area near the polling booth with his official car along with the security guards to cast his vote.
State election commissioner J.K. Datta asked the Patna DM B.Rajendra to inquire into the issue and submit a report to him at the earliest.
Meanwhile, the district administration ordered shoot-on-sight orders to deal with miscreants during the local body poll for 72 seats.
While ballots would be counted on May 31, for the first time 50 per cent of the 72 seats in the
corporation were reserved for women by the Nitish government following the said reservation model for women at the statewide panchayat poll held last year.
