The flood situation in Bihar continued to be grim with Bagmati, Kosi and Gandak rivers inundating fresh areas in Bagaha town and submerging roads in West Champaran, Saharsa, Supaul and Sitamarhi districts, forcing authorities to issue high alert in the districts.
The state disaster management control room said that the toll in the current deluge has reached 655.
Over two dozen houses of Asai Kaidali village located inside the eastern and western embankment were engulfed by the swirling waters of Kosi during the past 24 hours, a report said.
