Four Engineering Colleges Soon, Nitish Reiterates

The chief minister, Nitish Kumar, once again announced that four new engineering colleges would be opened in Bihar soon. Besides, he said, that he had held talks with the president of the Medical Council of India for granting permission to open five more medical colleges in the state. This will be besides a number of private institutions coming up in the state.

Inaugurating the Shiksha Diwas function in Patna on Tuesday he said that Bihar was fast emerging as an educational hub of the country. He mentioned that three premier institutions: the Chandragupta Institute of Management, Chanakya National Law University and National Institute of Fashion Technology came up in Patna in the last three years.

He said that many institutes outside Bihar are surviving on the students from Bihar. Referring to the Maharashtra development he asked as to how would they only accept money and not citizens from rest of the country. Anyone can go to anywhere in the country for his or her livelihood.
