The Bihar cabinet on Wednesday gave a nod to the proposal of removing temples built on roads and main thoroughfares. Besides, other religious structures will also be shifted to proper places to widen roads.
According to cabinet secretary Girish Shankar in cases where shifting is required, committees would be set up at the district and local level and a final decision would be taken by the district-level committee headed by district magistrate.
