Union Minister for Rural Development Dr. Raghuvansh Prasad Singh inaugurated the 23rd branch of Rural Development and Self Employment Training Institute (RUDSETI) in Hajipur, Vyshali District of Bihar in the presence of Dr. D. Veerendra Heggade, the President of RUDSETI.

Speaking on the occasion the Minister declared that the Government is planning to open a RUDSETI type of Institute in every district of the country and sought the guidance and support of Dr. Heggade in this behalf.
Dr. D. Veerendra Heggade thanked the Minister for all the help extended in establishing a branch of RUDSETI in Bihar, the first to be opened in the state. The Institute received record number of over 1000 application from un-employed youths for the various self employment training programmes offered free of cost with free food and accommodation. High ranking officials of NABARD, RBI and sponsor Bank of RUDSETI Viz, Syndicate Bank and Canara Bank were present on the occasion.
RUDSETI is opening a branch in Bihar close on the heels of opening a branch in Behrampore in West Bengal.
