Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, at the Technology Building in Patna on Saturday, held an electronic meeting via video-conferencing with the District Magistrates of 20 districts to review progress in various projects and their alertness on other developmental issues.
Directing the DMs to remain on guard of corrupt practices among the government officials, Kumar said the administration could not afford to take its eyes away from unscrupulous officers who were only too eager to bilk the government for personal financial gains.
Kumar further ordered the DMs to take legal actions against officials, village chiefs, and others who abused the system and showed signs of corruptions in government projects including the ambitious Chief Minister Awaas Yojana to ensure only those who met the criteria were benefited by the scheme.
The Chief Minister also directed the officials to start preparing for the impending flood in the state saying all arrangements must be made prior to the breaking of monsoon to minimize flood impact in the state.
