Bihar : Cruelty Against Poor Farmers

When Socialist Nitish Kumar was installed as Chief Minister , one of his first project was to kick off "Greater Patna" concept . In fact , It was also in NDA manifesto . This greater Patna included Fatuha , Maner , Danapur , Masaudhi , Sonepur , Hajipur etc . Someone asked about another small town "Bihta" . Bihar govt totaly refused . Reasons could have been many including BIHTA dominance by a particular caste .

Now , IIT expert selected one of the most educated as well as a particular caste dominance village so Nitish Kumar decided to acquire 600+ acres of lands for proposed IIT . Now anothe rumors are suggesting that Nitish has directed his offcials to acquire 5000+ hectares .

Here is Game . Bihar govt may acquire this land on Govt rate which may be much lower than market price . Above all , there is no reservation for Farmers in coming developed Industrial or Residential areas .

Even in other states like UP , There is always a reservation for Farmers in Industrial or Residential areas . For Example , if NOIDA or Greater NOIDA authority acquire farmers land they provide proper places on less price or on ration basis to these farmers in different developed sectors

Reason is clear this BIHTA area is A caste dominated area and in family division majority of farmers have less than 5 acres but this land is on Gangetic belt and most fertile land in INDIA . Even If a farmer get money from government , thier money will evaporate and at last they will be looser .

They can sacrifiece thier land for IIT but to distribute NITISH freiendly industries will be a cruelty against such farmers .

In Uttar Pradesh , They have very clear formula . If Govt acquires Farmers land and then Govt develop such lands for residential or Industrial areas / Sectors . These Sectors or Areas will have proper reservation for local farmers and in maximum cases these farmers will be allocated a few land piece in developed areas / Industrial / Residential as per thier contribution so in long term such farmers should not be looser .

I appeal all people to join hands in favour of Farmers to convince Bihar govt to stop cruelty against poor farmers of BIHTA region.
