Bihar Cabinet To Meet At Village, Thus Creating A History Of Sorts Probably In The Entire Country
In a first, the Bihar cabinet will hold its meeting in the mustard fields of Barbighi village in Begusarai district's Balia block, thus
creating a history of sorts probably in the entire country. Sources said the cabinet may take some major decisions to make this meeting, otherwise held every Tuesday in the cozy comforts of state capital, "a real historic one". Chief minister Nitish Kumar, who will chair the meet, left Patna and reached Barbighi on Monday evening as part of the third leg of his "Vikas Yatra" that started from Bagaha on January 19. "The 18 issues on the agenda are related to welfare of common people," a minister said and added the decisions will be taken in full public view and announced then and there. A luxury bus will start from the state capital at 8.30 am on Tuesday, carrying the ministers and departmental secretaries to Barbighi. After attending the meet in the afternoon, they will return the same day. A "pandal" has been erected near the CM's tent at the village. The cabinet meeting will be held at the "pandal" after the conclusion of CM's "janata durbar" before which the CM will have lunch with the ministers and bureaucrats at another "pandal".
