With an aim to further boost tourism in the state, Bihar Tourism is planning to focus on developing tourism infrastructure by constructing four lane express highway between Patna and Bodhgaya. Besides it is also looking at increasing hotel rooms, trained guides and setting up tourist police in six different locations in the state. This information was divulged by Vinay Kumar, Director Tourism, Bihar Tourism.
Kumar also informed that many budget and luxury hotels chains will also be set up in the near future, besides a huge convention centre in Bodhgaya and Rajgir. He added that the state tourism department is looking at providing a good experience to tourist visiting Bihar. About 90 per cent of tourists visiting Bihar are from South East Asian countries.
