Land Tribunals To Be Set Up Soon 
Land tribunals would soon be set up in Bihar to address land related litigations in the state.
The minister for land reforms and revenue Narendra Narayan Yadav, while taking part in a panel discussion on Friday announced that the state government would shortly set up land tribunals for which rules have been formulated. According to him the state government had finalised a plan to rehabilitate people living on government land. Yadav said that the state government had in November last asked district magistrates to organise camps at various places to dispose of minor cases of land disputes in rural areas. Justice Shiv Kirti Singh of the Patna high court, who was the chief guest, said that it is the responsibility of the state government to provide land to the shleterless. Besides, it should see that the government land under no circumstances go into the hand of undeserving people. The member-secretary of the Asian Development Research Institute, Saibal Gupta, presided over the panel discussion. The discussion was organised on the occasion of the release of the report on "Right to Housing and Homestead Land in rural Bihar" prepared by the Deshkal society at A N Sinha Institute, Patna.
